Preferential concentration of heavy particles in compressible isotropic turbulence.
We study the preferential concentration of heavy particles in compressible isotropic turbulence. The simulations reveal how particles with different Stokes numbers (St = 0, 0.1, 1, 5) exhibit distinct clustering behaviors due to the interplay between particle inertia and turbulent flow structures.
