Richtmyer-Meshkov Instability
Scale-to-scale energy transfer in mixing flow induced by the RM instability.
We investigate the turbulent mixing induced by the Richtmyer-Meshkov instability through direct numerical simulation. The study reveals the scale-to-scale energy transfer mechanism in the mixing zone, providing fundamental understanding of compressible turbulent mixing.
