Hydrokinetic Turbine Design
Large-eddy simulation and co-design strategy for drag-type vertical axis hydrokinetic turbines.
We use large-eddy simulation (LES) to investigate the performance of drag-type vertical axis hydrokinetic turbines in open channel flows, developing a co-design strategy for optimizing turbine geometry and placement for renewable energy applications.
